Description
GI-Encap – 180 Count By Thorne Research
Although aloe vera has significant gastroprotective efficacy,* some forms of aloe vera can produce a laxative effect. GI-Encap’s aloe vera ingredient comes from the inner fillet of the aloe vera plant, which avoids this effect. Similarly, licorice root preparations, which support the stomach and duodenum,* can cause blood pressure to rise in some individuals when given in higher amounts. Therefore, the licorice in GI-Encap has had its glycyrrhizin removed, which prevents increases in blood pressure.* GI-Encap also contains slippery elm bark (Ulmus rubra) and marshmallow root (Althea officinalis), both of which contain mucilaginous components that can soothe the digestive tract.* To soothe esophageal irritation, GI-Encap can be taken out of the capsule and mixed with warm water to drink as a tea.*
Take 1-2 capsules with each meal or as recommended by your health professional.
