Active B Complex by Seroyal Genestra provides a unique combination of B-vitamins in their active forms. Each capsule contains all 8 essential B-vitamins, including vitamins B1, B2, B3, pantothenic acid, B6, biotin, folate, and B12. These vitamins are provided in their preferred active forms, such as riboflavin-5-phosphate, pyridoxal-5-phosphate, Metafolin®, and methylcobalamin. Metafolin® is a calcium salt of L-methylfolate which may be more bioavailable than folic acid. A study conducted on healthy women who were supplemented with 400 mcg of either L-methylfolate or folic acid for 24 weeks showed that those who received the L-methylfolate supplement had higher red blood cell folate concentrations. The Active B Complex may be beneficial for supporting normal carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, as well as the formation of healthy red blood cells.
